Decadence

..now there's a word that needs some further looking into.
It is a word that lingers in your mouth like something rich, smooth, excessive, sweet and adventurous but what does it really mean? I found answers like unrestrained or excessive self-indulgence but also moral degeneration or decay and there were references to Edgar Allan Poe and the decline of societies due to moral weakness.

This is something that rarely happens - my bed being fully dressed. The occasion is that I cleaned my flat thoroughly today. Realised that I'm truly proud of my flat and that made me feel happy.

Unexpected shopping result. I set out to find lots of autumn clothes but this was the only thing I found. Ended up spending the afternoon and then some with a bunch of poker players. Great lads the lot of them but they seemed to be speaking a language of their own from time to time.

Good company!

If someone had said three months back I'd be spending an evening it this lovely company I'd said they'd been mad. But I just had and it was great. Life is one long line of surprises.
